Hey guys! I hope winter has been treating you all better than it has been me- if it hasn't, then wrap up and grab a hot cup of hot chocolate for me and stay warm My apologies for not announcing last month's events, and details on our Armageddon stall (that's in another journal ) as life and health issues have hit me hard over the last 2 or more months. I'm hoping now that those issues are all over and I can get back to presenting cool art stuff as I hear about them

Oh hello, nurse. I'm not feeling very well, do you think OH! Oh dear! You seem to have lost…. your face….
Let's get out the dirty bandages & oil up our meat cleavers sketchers, because Nurse is here to separate your necessities from your unmentionables.
MC & parasite-carrier Lilly Loca is back with more cult murmurings to revive your hidden smut fiend!
Bring your favourite tools: pens, paper, pencils, crayons, glue, cameras and/or finger paint. Dr. Sketchy is open to anyone, regardless of creed, colour and artistic style.
$10 on the door to feed the model. Please note, we are becoming rather popular & as such, we recommend you come early to ensure a seat!
Thanks to our awesome patrons of the arts: Jeremy of Arkham City Comics - Auckland, new art sponsor Takapuna Art Supplies, and of course our mighty overlord of The Wine Cellar, Rohan (Buy him a drink. Buy yourself a drink. Buy everyone a drink!).

Attention Manukau and Northshore Drawfesters!
Hey guys! In celebration of Manukau getting its own Armageddon, I'd like to start a new branch of Drawfest in South Auckland somewhere. I've been invited to run a stall at Manukau's first Armageddon, but right now, we don't have a meet up, so I'd like to get one started so that next year we can kick start the meet ups in full force. To do this thoguh, I'll need help.
Do you live in South Auckland? I need someone to find a location in South Auckland somewhere that we can hold a once monthly meet up at some time during the month- I don't mind when as long as it's regular. Please comment though whether you can run it or not though so we can hav

Hi there! My name is Anna ^^
For the past year, my friends and I have been working on an art book called Walk with Art. We are all New Zealanders who studied art/design at university together and wanted to create our very first art book to share our passion with others! :)
We recently set up a Kickstarter page and it has received REALLY great support so far, though we are still a weeee bit away from our pledging goal.
I was hoping to reach out to more fellow kiwi creatives - would you guys here at Drawfest be keen to help us promote our book? :3
I've made a journal to promote it on my own page:

Hamilton Armageddon Over - Thanks guys!
Hamilton Armageddon was a blast at the DrawfestNZ Stall. All the artists were great to meet! And for many of them it was the first time I met them. Everyone worked together to make a very festive event that I saw brought a smile to many convention attendees.
Thanks again everyone for your amazing participation. I'd definitely say it was a great experience and it was a delight to be a part of it all :) Wish you all the best in your creative endeavors! <3
