UPDATE:- Please note the date change of Auckland Drawfest. There was a clash of events so I've moved the date so people can turn up to both BIG Draw and Drawfest.

Upcoming in December:-

Drawfest Auckland meetup

Date:- Sunday 16th December 2012
Location:- Starbucks, CNR of Queen Street and Victoria street (Opposite Whitcoulls), hopefully top floor-
Time:- 12pm to 3pm (Or till Starbucks gets sick of us ;) We have in the past stayed till 4pm  )

Bring a friend, bring your art, comic, craft, writing... what ever creative tools you have, bring them along and hangout with other like minded Aucklanders, and swap war stories or what not! All forms of art are welcome, and all skill levels. Located at Starbucks so if you need your caffeine fix, it's just down the stairs ;) I'll have a big sign up so you can't miss us! Artists of ALL skill levels are welcome, and of any age!

Please note- bringing a friend is not required, but recommended for the youth members as it can make adjusting to the group much easier :) Please note me if you have any special needs that I should help cater for. We do have members of Auckland Drawfest who have special needs such as being deaf, I'll try my best to accommodate you. Please don't feel held back from joining in the fun

Also, please note the date change!

BIG Draw- St Patrick's Square
BIG Draw is a urban sketch meet up where artists get together and do drawings on location of buildings, people, landscapes etc... This is a free event and suitable for all ages. Locations change every month, and it's run by Eric, who also co-ordinates with events going on in Auckland. This event is great for those of you wantint to just sit down and draw in the sun.

Please bring drawing stuff- bringing an easy to move chair is a great idea for comfort, but not essential as you'll be moving around every 15 minutes or so.

Dr Sketchy- A very Merry pin-up Christmas

Date:- Tuesday, 4th December 2012 at 7pm
Location:- The Wine Cellar, St Kevin's Arcade, 183 Karangagape Road, Auckland, New Zealand

Dr Sketchies is an international event dubbed as "Anti-art school". The idea behind this gathering is to provide life drawing lessons at an affordable price so that ANYONE can afford it. This is an AWESOME event, and I strongly suggest anyone that can come along does. I've been to one Dr Sketchy event and they're very fun and relaxed. The models are fun, they're all clothed in interesting outfits, and there's prizes /competitions for drawing cooky art.

There's a $10 door charge to feed the model, and the location is in front of a bar so if you wish to partake in beverages, you can. Bring drawing supplies, and your fun self for a fantastic night!

Apparently events happen in Hamilton- I'm not sure who organises theme though. There's certainly an Armageddon Drawfest table in Hamilton happens so it's worth sticking around :) There's a few Tron folk there though that are keen for events- maybe you can organise an event and I could pimp it for you?

They sure do! I put it off for a couple of months cause Armageddon whacked the heck out of my energy levels, and then I went into a weird depression thing and found out that it was caused by drinking too much coffee and lack of sleep. I just come off my anti coffee pills, and I have to watch my sleeping patterns so I dont' go back to it, but I'm getting better. Miriam coming to the Drawfests has been a HUGE help to me emotionally though. Knowing that I have atleast her there makes the whole process fun and I don't noticed the stress. It's been really good.
